Size is 28.4 by 15.8 by 20.3 inches
No tools needed for assembly
Unit weight is 37.5 pounds
4 year warranty included
Advantages or Pros
For such a small sized and lightweight lawn mower, this model actually performs a lot better than we expected especially when it comes to grass collection, overall power and dealing with tall grasses at the higher mow height settings
The mow height range is excellent as you have the option to work at the highest levels for grass that has gone out of control and then do a second pass on a lower level to get a cleaner cut that is required.
The mow decks offered under the Greenworks brand are solid, sturdy and robust which are capable of lasting the test of time and tougher type mowing conditions.
Although it has one of the narrowest mow paths, it still can get the mowing job done as good as many of the larger models but just takes a little more time.
Another key point is the fact that the handles can be folded down after use which is key for people with limited storage spaces and the wheels are large enough so that they can work well around tight corners and flower beds and the mulching plug is very easy to use also
Another big attraction is the fact that it has the push button electric start instead of a pull cord so the process of getting starting is so much easier and is perfect for people who do not want the hassle of pulling difficult cords
You also have a low noise level to deal with and of course you have no fuel or oil costs or any rechargeable batteries to worry about.
Limitations or Cons
If your lawn size is any way medium or large, then you should avoid this 16 inch lawn mower as it is too narrow and the job will take far too long to complete
This model does not offer the side discharge option with the cuttings which is seen available on other models under the Greenworks brand.
No extension cords are included so you need to bear in mind the additional cost and hassle of sourcing an extension cord separately
Getting repair work done when needed is a lot more difficult than one would think and the repair agents support at times has been less than satisfactory
Getting clogged up with damp grass under the deck has been experienced also so it’s best to stick to drier type grasses to avoid this
The grass catcher is somewhat flimsy and lasting a long time would be questionable after significant prolonged use but please remember you get what you pay for
Price Guide: $120 to $150 @ Amazon

Part 3: Greenworks 25012 18 Inch Corded Lawn Mower Review
Greenworks 25012 18-Inch 12 Amp Corded Lawn Mower
Main Features to Note:
Perfect for small yards
Steel deck is 18 inches wide
Operates with a 12 Amp motor
Handles can be folded
7 mow height settings available
Single lever height adjustor
Mow heights are 1 ¾ -3 ¾ inch
Front wheels are 7 inches diameter
Rear wheels are also 7 inches
Sturdy & durable steel deck
2 in 1 function – mulch & side
Size is 28.5 by 22 by 14.2 inches
Simple assembly start up
Unit weight is 46 pounds
4 year warranty included
Advantages or Pros
There is a really good mow height cutting range on offer here that ranges from 1 ¾ inch up as far as 3 ¾ inch which gives a lot of flexibility in dealing with different types of grasses and grass conditions.
Despite the small size and lightweight design, this lawn mower also gives great cutting results and provides a lot more power that exceeded our own expectations.
Designed for people who do not wish to use or want a rear catcher as there is no grass container which overall makes the cost and price you need to pay somewhat lower than normal.
One key attraction that you will definitely like is the fact that there is a 4 year warranty provided in the event that you have any hassles which gives you some peace of mind before you decide to buy. This warranty level leads the way and is so much better than many other brands that we have come across
The mulching function performs really well putting nutrients back into the soil and of course there are no batteries, fuel or ongoing oil costs to worry about and of course no added costs associated with these items
Another key advantage is the fact that this is an environmentally friendly alternative to gas mowers with no harmful toxic emissions involved and it really does fold neatly and compact for small spaces
Limitations or Cons
The price level for the 18 inch 25012 tends to be slightly higher than the 16 inch so please bear this is mind (sometimes though the price is on par when local discounts are in place)
There is no option to collect the grass at the rear with no grass catcher so if you need a lawn mower with a grass catcher, then you should skip this one and move to other models under the brand.
Again, there is no extension cord included here also so this will be an additional cost that you need to factor in to the overall price that you need to pay.
At times with damp grasses, the side discharge can get clogged a bit which can be annoying as you need to start and stop a whole lot more and minor issues have been reported on the motor reliability which doesn’t appear to be regular but has been noted
Price Guide: $140 to $190 @ Amazon

Part 4: Greenworks 25002 20 Inch Corded Lawn Mower Review
GreenWorks 25022 20-Inch 12 Amp Corded Lawn Mower

Steel deck is 20 inches wide
Operates with a 12 Amp motor

One Single lever height adjustment
Mow heights are 1 ½ - 3 ¾ inches
Front wheels are 7 inches diameter
Rear wheels are 10 inches diameter
Solid & durable steel deck
3 in 1 function – mulch / rear / side
Size is 26.9 by 16.1 by 18 inches
Simple assembly start-up – 5 mins
Unit weight is 56 pounds
4 year warranty provided
Advantages or Pros
Of all of the lawn mowers in the Greenworks brand, the 25002 is certainly one of our favorites as it has the wider deck of 20 inches, it provides a great range of mowing heights and of course there are the 3 options of rear catching, side discharge and mulching. Overall there is a lot of flexibility and options provided here from a lawn mower that is so compact in size and offers an affordable price tag that many people can afford.
The power supplied is a lot more than what you would expect from a machine of this size as it is capable of dealing with various types of different grasses, grass types and sizes and even damp grass.
One thing you don’t have to worry about is the added expense of rechargeable batteries, additional spare batteries, fuel costs, oil costs and ongoing expensive maintenance costs associated to cordless and gas lawn mowers
Unlike many other models where the handles are difficult to fold, these handles fold down so much easier and it great to keep it in a compact position when in storage and out of use
The noise level here is as low as any other electric lawn mower and is significantly lower than many gas lawnmowers which is ideal if you have many neighbors living close-by.
You also don’t have to worry about the pulling on a cord to get it started as you are provided with a simple push button start system.
Limitations or Cons
Again, there is no extension cord provided here so this will be an added expense that you will need to consider and factor into the overall price
If you have a medium size lawn that takes an hour or more to complete, you should really go for a different model with a wider deck to save time and reduce the number of mowing paths
As you have the cord across the lawn as you mow, you need to develop a technique of avoiding the cord on your mow paths but gets a lot easier once you get the hang of it.
The grass catcher container is quite small and fill up rather quickly which means a lot more stopping and starting to get the job done. The grass catcher is also somewhat flimsy so you need to be extra careful when handling it – avoid harsh handling and treat it with care.
Repair works, back up customer service and fulfilling warranty claims has been less than satisfactory at times
It is very difficult to work with the cord when you have several trees planted around your yard and if this is the case for you, you are better off with a cordless option instead

Hi Paul, Your review of Greenwork’s lawnmowers could not come at a better time, as my last lawnmower just died a week ago. All the lawnmowers reviewed look quite interesting, but I have only used a Gas mower before, so I am unsure how these mowers will compare to my previous models. I have a large lawn, some of it on a slope, which can be difficult to cut without losing control of the mover. It is also difficult to push uphill. The prices seems quite reasonable for the features on offer. I need a large collection box to collect all the clippings and I don’t like emptying it often. Great to see how the individual 3 models compare against one another as the one with the largest grass box would be my preference here, Antonio
Hi, just the type of article I have been looking for, I pretty much settled on Greenworks, but needed to compare, and that has been difficult until I saw your article—I do think I will go for the model 25022, question, noticed sometimes it is referred to model 25020, now I might think just typo, but have noticed this on other places on the internet,,,,so didn’t know if there was a model 25020.? I kinda have a medium size yard, but still want a corded mower. Hope I will made the correct decision.
Yes, the 25022 from Greenworks 12 Amp 20-Inch 3-in-1 Electric Corded Lawnmower works a treat and it won’t let you down in my opinion when it comes to small to medium sized yards – best of luck with it!
Very useful and in-depth info ! I have a lawn mower that one sits on, It’s really great as you don’t have to push it and my garden is pretty big so I don’t have to walk. The only one slight problem with it, it isn’t really accurate, I mean like around trees and such it’s difficult to cut it pretty, so the lawn mowers that you review I think are perfect for smaller gardens and more intricate work around these smaller type areas
Hi Paul, Thanks for this really timely article. We’ve recently installed turf in our new backyard and it’s coming up to time for a mow. I thought we had a mower but it’s broken beyond repair. With the corded mowers you have reviewed, these Greenworks corded mower pretty much seems to be the one that can fit the bill. I definitely want a mower with a cord and I reckon based on this review the option that works the best for us is the 25012 version.
That’s good to know and I am delighted that my review has been helpful to you in some way…Take care and best of luck, Regards, Paul
